OFFICIALS

The Minister for Defence and Foreign Affairs is Gunnar Svenson.  He served in two Christian Democratic Cabinets before defecting to the Social Democrats over mining contracts awarded to the World Business Organisation.  This is his fourth Ministry, and his first post in Cabinet outside the five Parliamentary seats.  He is the nephew of His Excellency Gunnar Olafson, President of Thrace-Tailteann.  He served as an ambassador to various nations and to the UN before his election to Parliament.  He lives near Grandnexus City with his children.

Chief Functionary Paul Murray is Head of the Civil Service in the Department of Defence and Foreigh Affairs.  He has served as an employee of the UN at the General Assembly, and later became the national Ambassador to the UN.  At forty-two, he was the youngest ever Chief Functionary.  He has a degree in Geopolitics from the Regional University of the Sgt Pepper Archipelago (RUSPA) in Kwijybopolis.

General Francis McGahan is the Head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Thrace-Tailteann military.  He has served in the air force for thirty-three years.

His Excellency Ciaran Kelly is the Thrace-Tailteann Ambassador to the UN.  With his staff Eamon P Fitzcarraldo, Ahab Matil, and Lars Erik Svenson (cousin of the Minister for Defence and Foreign Affairs), he debates UN actions and votes on resolutions at the General Assembly.
