Thrace-Tailteann is a democratic state. It has elected its leaders throughout its history and has never been subject to dictatorship, benevolent or otherwise. We have always encouraged the adoption of popular rule in totalitarian states and the improvement of government efficiency in democracies. Our economy is fairly centrist, with state investment in health, education, and social welfare, and as little interference as possible with business. This follows a ream of privatisations of former state-owned companies such as TTT, the national transport company, and the Thrace-Tailteann Airport Corporation. Some nations criticise our civil rights record, but we defend it with our extremely low crime rate and our refusal to interfere with certain fundamental freedoms. The head of state is the President. The Government is divided into three, with legislative, executive, and judicial branches. |
